Major Hood Cleaning

Our specialized equipment and procedures will insure a thorough inspection and cleaning if necessary, for your kitchen hood, duct, fan, and grease filters to comply with NFPA 96 Standards, Liability Insurance, and local Health Department requirements.

We don't just clean what you can see, we also clean the areas that usually get untouched in an "average" hood cleaning. It's amazing how much better an exhaust system performs after a complete degreasing and cleaning. Not only does it look and smell great but the heat/smoke removal is improved as well!

After cleaning we will polish the hood to a brilliant shine!

A regular deep cleaning is required to reduce the possibility of a fire in the exhaust system.

We can replace old degraded hood filters with new lightweight stainless steel filters, fan belts, add hinge kits, add fan blade access panels as needed, and install or replace grease containment systems/media.

We can also supply your hood with special two-stage filters that employ disposable fiber filters that capture up to 99% of airborne grease before it enters the exhaust system! These special filters stop rooftop grease eliminating the need for a grease containment system. Even better, they will reduce the frequency of your hood cleanings saving you a ton of money!

Major Hood Cleaning is factory trained to clean/service/repair Electrostatic Precipitator Air Polution Control Systems manufacturered by Air Quality Systems.

In most areas we can reduce your cost by bundling a complete package for Exhaust System Cleaning, Hood Fire Suppression System Inspection and Service, Fire Extinguisher Inspection and Service, and Exit/Emergency Light Inspection and Service.

Equipment

Our State-of-the-Art equipment includes two enclosed trailer units with hot water pressure systems delivering approximately 4000 PSI of powerful cleaning pressure at a flow rate of up to 7 gallons per minute. We also carry on-board water supply tanks for remote locations away from a constant water source. Our duel gun systems are set up so two technicians can efficiently clean simultaneously, greatly reducing the time on your site!

11.3  Inspection of Exhaust Systems

The entire exhaust shall be inspected by a properly trained, qualified, and certified company or person(s) acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction in accordance with Table 11.3
